Zip's Business
Company purchasing, on your account
One company account for the people who buy from Zip's. Shared pricing, shared checkout, and a hub your admins run themselves.
What is Zip's Business?
Zip's Business is a company account on Zip's. Each person still signs in with their own Zip's login. When they shop as the company, they get the company's pricing and can check out with the shipping addresses and payment methods the company has shared. When they shop as themselves, the order stays on their own account.
Company admins run the account from the Business Hub. Zip's creates the account. After that, admins handle who can order, what needs approval, and how the company pays and ships.
How can I join?
Contact Zip's and ask to have a Zip's Business account set up. Call 800-222-6047 or send a note through the contact form.
When the account is ready, a company admin invites teammates who already have a Zip's login. They accept the invitation from the email, then they can switch into the company while they shop.
How does it work?
How do I switch between personal and business?
A switch on the site moves you between personal shopping and business shopping. Business shopping uses the company's pricing and the addresses and payment methods shared with you.
What can admins manage for people?
Admins invite people and set each one as an admin or a business member. They can let someone place orders, or require an admin to approve every order that person submits. They can also mark someone inactive.
How are payment methods and addresses shared?
Admins save company payment methods for the account. A new method starts out available to every active teammate, and an admin can turn it off for individual people. Admins also keep shared shipping locations and can set a default location on a person.
How do approvals and the approved catalog work?
Admins set a spending threshold. An order at or above that amount needs approval, including a cart made only of approved-catalog items. They can require approval for anything outside the approved catalog, or limit checkout to that catalog. The catalog is built from categories, brands, and SKUs. Admins approve, reject, or ask for changes on requests in the hub.
What records and settings can admins use?
Admins can review company purchase history, open monthly statements, and look at spend analytics. They can add cost centers for people to choose at checkout, apply tax exemption automatically, and have Zip's email admins when a request is waiting.
What can teammates do?
Business members shop with company pricing, use the addresses and payment methods turned on for them, and send a request when an order needs approval. They can follow their own orders and requests, and browse the approved catalog.
